Navaratri - Maa Siddhidatri

Navaratris festival - day 9

We have come to the last day of this honoring the Goddess practice, and according to the Hindu tradition Maa Siddhidatri is worshipped, this is the ninth form of Goddess Durga and her super power is knowledge.
Sitting on a lotus flower Siddhidatri makes sure everything is... Perfect.

Today honor perfection in your life. Look for it. Not as an exercise of trying to become but a... Gratitude practice. Looking to all that is, already perfect, in your life.

Navaratri 2 - Bhadrakali

#createNewFamilyTraditions with inspiration from the Navaratris celebrations, from India.

Today's inspiration: Bhadrakali

This is a form of the Mother Goddess worshiped mainly in South India.
She is seen as the auspicious side of Kali, and protects the good.
She is often seen with three eyes, and four, twelve or eighteen hands (she can also carry weapons and have flames flowing from her head).

For me, this image (and so grateful to Ivette Ivens Photography for these inspiring images!) is my Goddess inspiration for the day, I see her three eyes in her children; the numerous arms with her multitasking; the protection of the good... from her motherly nature.

Share YOUR goddess image, and honor the qualities (and flaws) that speak to you.

Celebrate Navaratri

Today join India and CELEBRATE The Goddess

Navaratri starts today, and this is a nine days long festival, celebrated in India and Nepal, dedicated to the nine forms of Shakti - the Mother Goddess

Nine forms of Shakti are worshipped during the Navaratris and the Devis worshipped depend on the tradition of the region.

I say #createNewFamilyTraditions and worship YOUR goddesses, honoring the qualities (and flaws) that speak to you. Take this as a healing technique, a meditation a... Remembering of the ancient ways...

We will share here with you inspiration for each day.

Today Durga is honored and she is the power behind Creation, Preservation and... Destruction of the world.
Durga means “inaccessible” and she is represented as fierce, powerful, somehow... Deadly.
And I guess we all have a Durga inside... Today, honor that side of you.

Trust your cycles

“The psyches and souls of women also have their own cycles and seasons of doing and solitude, running and staying, being involved and being removed, questing and resting, creating and incubating, being of the world and returning to the soul-place.”

You are enough

Most women secretly believe that they are “not enough”. The very opposite is true. You are way…WAY more than enough. You have more than enough to do, be, create and have everything you desire! In order to have EVERYTHING you desire, you must shift your beliefs and begin to see yourself in a new and strong way. It’s about creating a powerful mindset shift…the first step is connecting with your Inner Goddess.
