New Start

Inspiration for these times...

Card for the Day: The World - Completion of a cycle. All the loose ends are tied up.  Preparation for the new cycle begins. Something major may come to a close today.  Graduation.  All's well that ends well.  The triumphant end and achievement of goals. Take a bow and get ready for a fresh start.

Every Mother a Goddess

Do you have any doubt Mothers are the goddesses we all embody, are born from, spend time with, and have the luck to meet in every corner of our towns?

This image <3 I see a Goddess, siting in a throne, nourishing humankind, spreading kindness.

Dewali Magic

Light and Darkness

Grateful for this balance. Thankful to this new moon's intense energy that made me see further, inquire deeper, question lauder and... Find the way to a higher vibration.
It was
Not
Easy
, I confess.
But we did it. We trusted the process and we performed the rituals, we sat together in front of the Hindu Gods, and I humbly accepted guidance. I did not ask for anything - was feeling way to lost, to tired, to drained, to do so - but I just opened my heart to accept. Accept what needs to come. Almost like I was dropping my head to take a punishment. "Let it come", I thought to myself, but instead... I felt this warm wave of gentleness, understanding, and Love. It all started in my stomach and took over all of my body. I did not feel relief, not just yet, but I felt held. Like in Mother's arms... I cry now, grateful to how magical this was.
And now I see... How it has always been there, in this shape or another, the higher forms of consciousness, the accessible manifestations of The Source, are here, around us, everywhere.
The whole house feels so amazingly light and bright today. Grateful to Diwali times. I don't know if I am becoming a Hindu myself but... Let's #createNewFamilyTraditions, I can say a lot of my darkness transmuted into Light.

I Trust, a little bit... bigger, today.

Share. How did you spend your 11.11 time?

Navaratri 2 - Bhadrakali

#createNewFamilyTraditions with inspiration from the Navaratris celebrations, from India.

Today's inspiration: Bhadrakali

This is a form of the Mother Goddess worshiped mainly in South India.
She is seen as the auspicious side of Kali, and protects the good.
She is often seen with three eyes, and four, twelve or eighteen hands (she can also carry weapons and have flames flowing from her head).

For me, this image (and so grateful to Ivette Ivens Photography for these inspiring images!) is my Goddess inspiration for the day, I see her three eyes in her children; the numerous arms with her multitasking; the protection of the good... from her motherly nature.

Share YOUR goddess image, and honor the qualities (and flaws) that speak to you.

Celebrate Navaratri

Today join India and CELEBRATE The Goddess

Navaratri starts today, and this is a nine days long festival, celebrated in India and Nepal, dedicated to the nine forms of Shakti - the Mother Goddess

Nine forms of Shakti are worshipped during the Navaratris and the Devis worshipped depend on the tradition of the region.

I say #createNewFamilyTraditions and worship YOUR goddesses, honoring the qualities (and flaws) that speak to you. Take this as a healing technique, a meditation a... Remembering of the ancient ways...

We will share here with you inspiration for each day.

Today Durga is honored and she is the power behind Creation, Preservation and... Destruction of the world.
Durga means “inaccessible” and she is represented as fierce, powerful, somehow... Deadly.
And I guess we all have a Durga inside... Today, honor that side of you.

You are enough

Most women secretly believe that they are “not enough”. The very opposite is true. You are way…WAY more than enough. You have more than enough to do, be, create and have everything you desire! In order to have EVERYTHING you desire, you must shift your beliefs and begin to see yourself in a new and strong way. It’s about creating a powerful mindset shift…the first step is connecting with your Inner Goddess.

The Goddess can be found in all beings

"There isn't any One, Absolute, Single, All-Encompassing Way to seek The Goddess. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, she's an archetype we find in all beings - not just those with double-X chromosomes. Some find her through dance, others through ritual. Some find her through sex, others through disciplined fasting. Some find her through laughter, and others in silent contemplation. There isn't a single Road that leads to Her, there are Many."

Celebrate Radhastami, from India

Today, in India, Radhastami is celebrated. This festival is dedicated to Lord Krishna's partner, Radha, and if you think about it all gods and all sacred forms have a female "partner" that basically symbolizes the female side of all that exists - this is The Goddess.

In this day Radha's feet can be seen (the rest of the year they are hidden) and it is considered auspicious to fast...
I say... Why not #createNewFamilyTraditions and make this a day to honor yourself? The Goddess you represent, you channel, you ARE.
Today Be, truly, this Goddess and find a way to worship your sacred female energy. Wear a flower crown, get a foot massage, be pampered, make a special "me time"... Journal about your qualities, celebrate your gifts... Be grateful.

Every Mother is a Goddess

Deep lost in darkness or totally free into light the motherhood experience is for every woman deeply transforming...

For me, I see it always moving into awakening... I see what I like to call the #Motherhoodawakenings happening everywhere, all kind of awakenings:
I see women practicing self-love like never before; setting healthy boundaries they did not knew needed; finally embracing their nature... celebrating their bodies! Finding their sisterhood and honoring each other like a true goddess; setting free their pure creative energy... and like this, simply becoming One with Source.

Through the practice of the Pure Love becoming a Mother brings, I see women all around me going back into their power... That whole, sacred, ancient power...
and blooming,
filled with gratitude,
blessed with the amazing colors of the must mesmerizing beauty.

And some don't see it.
Yet.
We are here to remind them.
We are here to remind you.

Sacred Beginnings transformation into The Grateful Goddess

Hi Goddesses,

Many are asking about the changes happening over here.

The Grateful Goddess. What’s it all about? The Grateful Godess is YOU. The Grateful Goddess is ME. She’s that person within us who’s ready to show up fully ... to meet the world heart-on ... to find gratitude for all things, especially the daily routine ... to get real and messy and vulnerable ... to recognize wisdom that comes from the shittiest situations ... to redefine herself as many times as necessary ... to know that authenticity is the only place that Truth can exist ... to CELEBRATE all that she was, is and will be.

Sacred Beginnings is an amazing program and will continue to grow, but it was just the beginning of this adventure. We’re evolving here into something BIGGER. After three epic retreats, you all offered feedback and we listened. We’re learning, growing and shifting, too ...

Let this space continue to be a place of inspiration, support and community. It’s our vision that it will grow into a communal effort. There are already multiple contributors and we’re always looking for more sisterhood offerings (hint: that means YOU. We all have gifts to offer. How can you shine your light here?).

As for the retreats ... Be gone with the training element, bring in more yoga + meditation and create more space for celebration. There will be a variety of retreats available - some straight up posh and yoga-centric, others centered around spirituality & sisterhood. Keep an eye out for the perfect fit for YOU. Oh oh oh ... And the retreats will be offered all over the WORLD. How’s that for exciting? And we're rather stoked to announce that our first yoga-focused offering in the Dominican Republic is SOLD OUT.
So from here, sisters, shine on. We can’t wait to meet you in person.

With Love,
Danielle, Joana and Christi

Gather your tribe, it's the New Moon

The BABY BUZZ

#motherhoodAwakenings

“In the native American tradition if you wanted to destroy a village you simply destroyed the Moon Lodge – the place where the woman gathered every new moon to intuit insight to govern the tribe. So it stands to reason that the fastest way to rebuild our global village is to re-instate the tradition of the Moon Lodge or Red Tent.”

Be gentle

#motherhoodAwakenings

"Be gentle."
"Be gentle, baby."
"Oh but be gentle, it's a friend."
"Look, it's a snail. It's ok, won't hurt you, be gentle to it."
"Please be gentle to me, I am sorry..."

Realizing this is the sentence I must often use with my son: Be gentle.

Have you thought of it? What is the word, or group of words, you most repeat during your day...?
And how do they sound to you?
And how does it affect your child?
Have you heard him or her repeating it? Maybe to his toys, in a dream, or to other kids...?
It is when I hear my words out of my son's mouth that I become aware of the immense power they hold.

And thinking...
What I say to my son is what I want to say to he world.
Because it is through him that I mother the worlds around me... And that I mother myself...
So what am I saying to myself, every time I speak to him?
What is there inside of me, so ready to come out?

We are Sacred beginnings makers

We struggle so many days... As mothers I mean. We may be hopeless and exhausted and feel we will never sleep a night again (I mean a long, quiet, uninterrupted night) and then... And then when we are willing... When we are open to see it... we look around and notice there is nothing but life, every minute starting... and we are the privileged makers of this life, in it's most sacred forms.

Sacred nourishment

#sacredBeginningsDailyReminder series - nourishment.

How is your day going?
For me? Well let's put it this way, if I could speak of this Full moon's energy with simple words I would say there is a toddler vs mama situation...
A creating chaos impulse vs a (desperately) seeking for balance agenda.
I guess we are both trying too hard ;-))

Today drop any agenda and forget all "to do" lists.
Today nourish yourself.
Only this.
Whatever nourishment means to you, and (so important!!) do not judge your neediness for it.
Nourishment is sacred.

Mine could look like this... A yoga "shala" all to myself, a happy baby and... food for us, made with Love.
