You have been chosen
You are a LIGHT in the world
When I am cold you warm me
When I am scared you hold me
Keep me safe little girl
You are a light in the world
Your SOUL is glowing
You shine so bright in the world
Tempering fear with HOPE
Remembering to dig and GROW
Reach to the STARS little girl
You are a light in the world
And I bow down to your BEAUTY WAY
Angels all around you Everyday
Guiding every move you make
With LOVE and Faith and
TRUST and Grace
I BOW NOW
On the horizon
Your taking FLIGHT in the world
Gathering your TRIBE
With honor and with pride
You SING to the sky little girl
You are a light in the world
You are good
You are golden
You are good
You are unfolding
You are good
You are amazing
You are good
You are a blazing light in the world
And I bow down to your beauty way
Angels all around you Everyday...

reasons to celebrate: Lunar New Year
I say CELEBRATE, always celebrate.
Join all celebrations from all around the world and #createnewfamilytraditions .
Why celebrate?
Celebrating is the practice of GRATITUDE;
Celebrating raises your vibration, in other words it creates more JOY in our lives;
Celebrating helps you to CONNECT to the present moment;
Celebrating is a way to LOVE yourself and HONOR every step of your path...
And so much more! It connects people and it helps to MANIFEST your deep desires, have you thought of that? Cause we often celebrate the beginnings, we welcome Spring for instance, even before it arrives, and this is the right vibration for manifestation!
Celebrate the summer, the love, the sunrise and the sunset (I am looking for a sunset ritual for myself, cause it's just a time of the day I feel so... Vulnerable. Does this makes sense? do you have one?)
And take this opportunity to re-start. Every new moon, a new beginning. Every New year a new beginning... Tomorrow all of Southeast Asia celebrates de Lunar (or Chinese) New Year, also called the Spring Festival.
We welcome the Year of the Goat/ sheep and it is all about:
Creativity
Gentleness
Compassion
This festival is 15 days long and on the second day it's "dog day", celebrating the birthday of all dogs. It's time to give your dog a special treat!
Decorate your house with red lanterns.
Prepare special meal to share with loved ones. Your kids love pasta? Make Chinese noodles and use chop sticks, my son loves them and it's just great motor skills practice ;-)).
At midnight open all windows and doors: for the old year to leave.
Dress up in Red, this symbolizes fire and... scares the demons away.
Get a haircut - so the spirits from the old year cannot recognize and follow you into the new year.
Play with fireworks to drive away the evil (It is believed that the person who launched the first firework of the New Year will obtain good luck).
Be noisy. Yes, apparently this also helps to scare those feared demons, so take those drums out and have a drum circle with your children.
Chinese Zodiac story telling, you start, they continue:
"Once upon a time in a land far, far away lived an emperor, one day he decided to call all the animals for a race, and then..." I will not spoil the end for you, let's just say the Rat came first so them figure out how was that possible!
Give away oranges: did you know the word "orange" in mandarin sounds like "luck"? That's why it's an auspicious gift.
Buy gold, dance with the dragons (symbol of power and strength); make peace with old friends; give away money inside red envelopes (doesn't matter how much, the symbol is from the red color, sending good wishes and luck) ...
Oh and remember the "don't" list on the new year day: no cleaning, no washing hair, no crying, no borrow, no scissors... why? Cause you might, accidentally, cut, sweep, wash away... The good luck!
Gung Hei Fat Choi everyone!
reasons to celebrate: Mahrashivsratri festival
Celebrate, always celebrate. Because every day, every minute is truly a Sacred Beginning.
Looking for reasons? Get inspired with festivals from around the world and #createnewfamilytraditions celebrating Mahrashivsratri next February 17th. This festival celebrates Shiva and Shakti's union, and it's all about raising your vibration from root chakra to crown chakra.
Mindful bathing. Drop some salt in your bath water, salt neutralizes energy so it's great to use in one of those tantrum filled days...
In India Shiva devotees bathe at sunrise, preferably in the Ganga, or any other holy water source as a rite of purification.
Wear your mala beads today and make offerings at your Sacred Space.
In India offerings are made to Shiva, fruits, flowers, coconut, sweets... Get your children involved in this beautiful ritual blessing the food before the meal.
Worship the Sun.
In India lamps are lit to attain knowledge and it's considered a great day for yoga as in this day the planetary positions act as potent catalysts to help raising your vibration.
Have you tried yoga with your little one? It's part of Sacred Beginnings program and it's never too early or too late to start.
Namaste everyone!
reasons to celebrate: Carnival
Reasons to just... Celebrate, even when your Motherhood days are just too long... Like mine...
I am not a routine lover so sometimes i just look for a reason to do something different. So...
#createnewfamilytraditions , celebrate more and follow festivals from all over the world. Why not?
(Image: Molly Guy on Mother Mag).
Today is time for Carnival! This festival is celebrated in many different shapes and forms (great! We have options to choose from!) and apart from it's catholic practice it's apparently an ancient tradition from Rome, but religion and history apart “Carnivals are always subversive, because people are allowed to do things that are forbidden in real life (...) the King is not the king; you can joke about him. It’s a way to express irony, and criticism of power, in a festive way.” (Cecile Duvelle)
To me this just sounds like a lot of fun! So, just for today, "let them". Let them do, wear, and play whatever they want to.
Yes, carnival likes laud things, let them sing laud, and dance! (to Samba, maybe?) and don't forget the masks - play dress up box! Join in.
And satire.. If you have older kids help them to a little family satire time.
And do not be afraid to let yourself go, laugh, relax. Be a player, let your inner child out and be playful.
