Traveling

Inside your body or overseas did you travel this holiday season, Goddess?
What awakenings, happen during your trips?

To become a true global citizen, one must abandon all notions of 'otherness' and instead embrace 'togetherness'.

~ Suzy Kassem, Rise Up and Salute the Sun: The Writings of Suzy Kassem

Oh such GORGEOUS images! I see worlds... Precious worlds to travel to!

Every Mother is a Goddess

Deep lost in darkness or totally free into light the motherhood experience is for every woman deeply transforming...

For me, I see it always moving into awakening... I see what I like to call the #Motherhoodawakenings happening everywhere, all kind of awakenings:
I see women practicing self-love like never before; setting healthy boundaries they did not knew needed; finally embracing their nature... celebrating their bodies! Finding their sisterhood and honoring each other like a true goddess; setting free their pure creative energy... and like this, simply becoming One with Source.

Through the practice of the Pure Love becoming a Mother brings, I see women all around me going back into their power... That whole, sacred, ancient power...
and blooming,
filled with gratitude,
blessed with the amazing colors of the must mesmerizing beauty.

And some don't see it.
Yet.
We are here to remind them.
We are here to remind you.

Gather your tribe, it's the New Moon

The BABY BUZZ

#motherhoodAwakenings

“In the native American tradition if you wanted to destroy a village you simply destroyed the Moon Lodge – the place where the woman gathered every new moon to intuit insight to govern the tribe. So it stands to reason that the fastest way to rebuild our global village is to re-instate the tradition of the Moon Lodge or Red Tent.”
 ~ Tanishka

It's the new moon tonight, are you gathering your sisters?

Be gentle

#motherhoodAwakenings

"Be gentle."
"Be gentle, baby."
"Oh but be gentle, it's a friend."
"Look, it's a snail. It's ok, won't hurt you, be gentle to it."
"Please be gentle to me, I am sorry..."

Realizing this is the sentence I must often use with my son: Be gentle.

Have you thought of it? What is the word, or group of words, you most repeat during your day...?
And how do they sound to you?
And how does it affect your child?
Have you heard him or her repeating it? Maybe to his toys, in a dream, or to other kids...?
It is when I hear my words out of my son's mouth that I become aware of the immense power they hold.

And thinking...
What I say to my son is what I want to say to he world.
Because it is through him that I mother the worlds around me... And that I mother myself...
So what am I saying to myself, every time I speak to him?
What is there inside of me, so ready to come out?

Love your body

For me it was like this, motherhood expanded my Love, my ability to love. Not only my child, but myself... Today I can say I love myself more... More and more I love all about me... And yes, my changing body is such an important part of this LOVE.
Today I am thankful for this path I walk and for the women that thru motherhood also share these awakenings. Falan is one of them, so grateful for her writing...

~ befriending thy breasts & body

“and i said to my body. softly. ‘i want to be your friend.’ it took a long breath. and replied. ‘i have been waiting my whole life for this.'” -nayyirah waheed
I stood, for a long time, in front of the mirror the other morning. Naked.

My clothes sat folded on the counter and my robe hung on the hook.

Not wanting to get dressed, I paused, staring at this body of mine.

I ran my hands from my armpits down the round of my breasts, along my ribs and waistline, slowly alongside my hips.I thought about how much I would one day miss this body.

This body as it is.

The youthful suppleness of the skin would be replaced with the wise softness that time and age transforms.

The inevitable acceptance of your aged lines that can’t help but to long for your springtide.

I thought about how often looking at our bodies results mostly in judgment.

I thought about how our eyes fall to “flaws” instead of our hearts holding gratitude for our abilities.

I thought about how much this body has provided for me.

The points of pleasure. The points of passion and aliveness.

Touch and orgasm and tickles and snuggles. Laughter. Joy.

Long walks. Hikes. Swims.

Holding me gently and with strength in all the sadness I’ve felt.

The pain. The tears.

The expansion of pregnancy and the power of birth.

Moon cycles and blood and babies and losses and new life.

Breasts. Breastfeeding. Milk.

Breasts.

Oh, breasts. Extending from the heart.

For nearly a dozen years, milk, milk, milk.

Swelling and softening, filling and emptying.

Breasts.

Just last August my youngest weaned and I closed the door on nearly a dozen years of breastfeeding.

After she weaned, I would be standing in the shower lathering my skin with milky soap and would skip over my nipples.

And then I would catch myself and remember that I could soap them up now.

My nipples, my breasts, they’ve belonged to my children.

They belonged to the nourishment of those I love the most.

Now they feel mine again.

They show the stories of how they belonged to them for so long.

Soft lines gently mark the inner breasts, nearest my heart.

Pink nipples always appearing aroused.

Now mine again.

********

We live in a world that models tremendous detachment from our own bodies.

Sex sells, but connection to ourselves doesn’t.

We live in a world that encourages women to give themselves monthly breast exams and to get painful, invasive mammograms once a year when they reach their 40’s. To stoically examineyour breasts one time a month/ once a year, but not to touch your breasts with adoration ever. (Many similar thoughts can be said about the vagina and the pap.)

We live in a world where breast cancer steals the lives of mothers and daughters and wives and sisters and aunts and grandmothers, but we are not shown to fully appreciate our breasts for the incredible energy centers and nourishers they are. (Many similar thoughts can be said about the yoni and cancers/concerns of the womb space.)

Disconnection from ourselves steals our power and our respect and our regard for this precious body of ours.

Please, take these words of mine and settle them into you.

It’s time to stop the disconnection from this spirit housed skin we are in.

It’s time to sincerely realize the remarkable magic that your body is.

Breasts are a beautiful place to start.

Begin to feel your breasts everyday. In the shower, for the five minutes before you fall asleep. Lovingly massage them, supporting lymphatic movement and enriching your heart center. Go without a bra. Throw your bras away (absolutely on the underwire ones!) Look at them. Love them.

Let your breasts be a catalyst of connecting with, and befriending, the richness of your body.

Rebirth yourself

For me this is what #sacredbeginnings is all about, not only your child's birth, but yours... welcome to... sacred REBIRTH.

from Jeff Foster (www.lifewithoutacentre.com)
HOW TO REBIRTH YOURSELF

"When you were a little one, you were a ball of pure creativity, an explosion of raw and ancient energies, energies you had no way of naming, let alone understanding, let alone integrating.

Unnamed joys and sorrows surged through you without warning, prehistoric longings, rages, undigested terrors - the snake, the velociraptor, the unnameable movement in the deep, watching, waiting. The overwhelm of being alive, tasting your own taste, being in your own being, moving as a body. You were a riot of light and sound, an amorphous mass of pure sensation, often startled and overjoyed in equal measure, out of time and out of control, out of the safety of the womb, outside of mother, and your very life was at stake, or so it seemed.

You are essentially no different now. Yet you have been taught how to be a good boy or girl, kind, polite, careful, consistent, nice, right, even 'spiritual'. You have been taught the right things to say, to want, to ask, to seek, to feel, to think, to do.

Know your place. Don't ask too much. Stay small. Don't stray too far from the herd.

You have become civilised, taught to push away half of your nature. Brainwashed, even, to believe that half - or more - of your being is sinful, sick, bad, broken, evil, dark, unenlightened, unawakened, unspiritual, negative, untrustable, pathological, unintelligent.

Don't feel sad, they say. Don't feel angry. Don't feel fear. Don't doubt. Don't talk back. Don't have negative thoughts. Don't be in a low vibration. Don't wallow. Pretend to be something you are not. Conform. Be like us. Heal. Don't question. Don't trust yourself. Get enlightened. It goes on and on.

You have split yourself in two in the name of love and freedom.

And it was so intelligent to do so. You were only seeking safety and sense in a world that often made no sense, looking for sanity amidst a cacophony of nonsense. Your defences were creative, not pathological...

"Shut up baby, stop crying! Cry, baby, why won't you cry? Why do you want so much? Don't touch that. Stand, don't stand. Walk, sit still. Behave! Why are you just sitting there? Bad child. Good child. Bad child. Don't be such a child! Do something! Stop it! I love you. I'll only love you if you... I love you. I hate you. Speak up! Shut up! You just ate. Go to your room. Eat! Why are you still in your room? How dare you say that! Shh, baby. Baby? Why are you so quiet? I'm here for you. I'm not here for you. I might be here for you. You're bad. You're sick. You're good. You're nice. You're evil. You're perfect. You don't need me. You need me. I need you to need me. You are so needy! Grow up! Get over it. Get over here! Leave me alone! Come back!"

It made no sense.

How to navigate it all without getting hurt? How to please mummy or daddy? How to hold it all?

Am I loved? Is it safe? When will they leave me alone? Why have they abandoned me? Do they see?

Is there something wrong with me? Am I broken? Are they broken? Am I whole or half or less? Do I exist? Is this my life?

Can I trust myself? Should I trust them? Can I trust my lack of trust? Why can't I trust? What's wrong with me?

Should I talk or not talk? Stay or go? Feel or not feel? Smile or not smile? Laugh or cry? Run or sit still? Go forwards or backwards? Tell the truth? Lie to protect myself? To protect them? Let it out? Hold it in?

What if they find out what I really think? Can they see into me? Am I being watched? Is something rotting inside me?

Should I stand or fight? Change or stagnate? Whose path am I on? Will it always be like this? What did I do wrong? What did I do right? Do I deserve this?

Who do they think I am?

Friend, you are grown now, and it is time to question all this conditioning, this basic fear of life, to unlearn what you learned when you were a little one and you craved love and life, and to begin to realise that love is not something given but something lived, something deep and ancient and trustworthy within you, and you are not sick, or wrong, or bad, or evil, or unworthy, or a freak of nature, but you are so damn alive, nature itself, an explosion of creativity, an amorphous and intelligent mass of ancient energies that you need not understand, or escape, or numb yourself to, but hold in your vast heart, and breathe into, and trust.

You are no longer a little one, but a vast One, as you always were, despite your growing body, a wide open space in which all of these energies that you once pushed away and disowned can now celebrate themselves, dance as waves in your oceanic embrace, and self-liberate.

In a sea of non-duality (non-separation), a Oneness that you are, all thoughts, sounds, sensations are not against life but life, not mistakes or punishments or signs of your failure, not separate from you, but little celebrations of you, beloved waves in the ocean, embraceable. Or rather, they are already embraced, for they are timeless, not yours yet intimately yours, as the clouds do not belong to the sky but dance within it.

There is nothing you have to do to receive this grace. It is not a state, not something you can reach, attain, or be given. It cannot be transmitted by gurus in loincloths. It is not a reward for your spiritual or material success. It is already here, shining within your very ordinary experience.

In the beginning you were a child of human parents, but now you are your own parent, that ever-present awareness shining on all movements within and without, that undying presence by which you know you are loved, always, even when you get it all wrong, even when you stumble and fall and doubt, even when you are hungry and tired and don't know where to turn.

You are loved for you are love, the lover and the beloved as One.

I am here with you, child, it says. I am here. You are the One, my chosen One. Even when you feel alone and far from love, I am here. Trust this moment. Trust this ground. This breath. This devastation. This birth, this loss of your old world. Trust, even if you feel you cannot trust. Trust that too. I am here with you, closer than this next exhale.

And its voice is your voice, your heart its heart, and the world is its womb, and you are forever born anew in each moment, thrust into life, bruised and gasping but alive, exhausted but alive, and you breathe with every living being, and nobody can ever take this love away from you now, nobody can break your spirit.

You are so fucking worthy of life.

I teach this, and only this: an unconditional love more timeless than the stars."

Motherhood awakenings

I wrote before about the motherhood chakras and all the... openings that our path as mothers brings, about all the spirituality it contains, all the SACREDNESS of it.
Yes, I believe that all life is sacred and motherhood is like... for me it's like siting face to face, everyday, with your most inspiring (and most demanding) master.
Motherhood is like a visit from the Gods.
You just gave birth and from now on every step on dirt is a dance, every word spoken a poem, every thought a power manifestation tool and every cuddle and smile an offer.

If we listen, if we just sit still and listen it will all come to us, we were made for this, it is our nature.
If we allow it the breastfeeding moments become connection rituals; the bath times, healing ceremonies; the walks in the park pure meditations; the cleaning, dressing, feeding... all choreographic honoring of life in it's purest form, in it's #sacredbeginnings
And this is not "only" about you and your child, this is about yourSelf and the Universe, you are now a Creator together with the Gods (the universe, the spirits, God, Mother Earth, or whatever word suits your path), you are now... Awakening.
Create it all, offer #beautyway to all that you do, #honorYourStory, for it is,  SACRED.

Motherhood chakras

I am safe - Muladhara or Root chakra
I am creative - Svadhisthana or Sacral
I am strong - Manipura or Solar plexus
I am loved - Anahata or Heart chakra
I am expressive - Vishudha or Throat chakra
I am connected - Ajna or Third eye
I am divine - Sahasrara or Crown chakra

Which one of these affirmations you feel empowered in your motherhood path? Which one you feel hurt... Dimmed... Broken?

We all talk a lot about the physical changes after giving birth, but I have been meaning to ask you... How was it? In the beginning, how was it in your energetic level... How do you feel motherhood affected your... chakras?

So what did it open? What did motherhood open for you or what chakras feel out of balance?

Root chakra is about our sense of safety and grounding...
Have you thought how this Chakra is your support? Not only for yourself but during pregnancy also for your womb (and the baby inside).
And I think of all those stories of empowerment giving birth, of deep connection to the moment of opening for your baby, of orgasm even! Or... the other stories, of trauma, of loss... Or violence... How does this mark your ground chakra? Is there scar tissue - physical or metaphorical - have you come into motherhood with fear..? Did you fear for your own life giving birth to another (and how much tragic poetry lives in this!)?
Did becoming a mother brought you fears about your financial situation for example. Did your own concept of safety, comfort, grounding changed?

How about your sacral chakra, the sexual organs (the womb) and all the experiences they carry, all our stories. The emotions, the pleasure and the energy we can get from them. And the energy from the people we chose to share them with.
Did you know for Tao philosophy this part of our bodies, our sexual and reproductive organs, is the origin of all energy (and all health)?
Did you know for women that went trough sexual abuse giving birth can be particularly... challenging?
Motherhood and Creating, these are indeed two aspects than meet in the 2nd chakra.
Criativity and sexuality go together, what does this means to you?

Manipura, the solar plexus chakra, this means "precious gem".
Take your hand there and feel your navel area and your belly button, how does it feel? Warm? Cold?
This chakra is very connected to pregnancy and the new sense of commitment that comes with it.
This does not mean commitment only to your child but to yourself and to the connecting between the Divine, the Mother Earth that lives in you.

Anahata chakra.
What changes you feel in your heart? How did motherhood change your capacity to Love, to love others, yes. But how did it change the way you love yourself?

Throat chakra: is your truth louder, more constant, less apologetic?
Do you find yourself singing more often (and better!)?

Ajna chakra, your third eye and all it's teachings... Is your intuition more open now? Stronger? Did it stay, just like you felt during pregnancy, stronger and more alive?
Do you find yourself just knowing things?
Do you act, talk and think with more flow, less self doubt, much more trust in your "gut feeling", in your own sensibility?

Or is it your crown chakra you feel stronger? Cause now you see the spiritual power of your existence and you can even feel the sacredness beyond the diaper change, the potty training, the teething nights.
Do you see your spiritual connection to this child (children) and the meaning beyond your earthly relationship?

Kundalini energy is said to kind of climb up our bodies, from shakti to shiva, from root to crown chakra. It says there is vital, potent spiritual energy coiled up like a snake in the base of our spine, ready to move up. Who knowns, maybe that's why we have lower back pain during pregnancy, and this is what giving birth is all about.
;-)

Did you know the Baby Glow that blesses everyone of us during pregnant comes from our double chakra system?
"Double?"
Yes, the one from the mother and the one from the baby inside.

Enjoy your chakra activation sacred path new Woman.
