Homemade Coconut Milk Shampoo

Conventional shampoos contain harsh detergents and toxic chemicals which not only damage our hair but these chemicals can easily be absorbed through the skin pores. For pregnant women, babies and those who are looking at ways to reduce their exposure to harmful chemicals, homemade shampoo is the perfect solution. It is safe and gentle to your hair and your health. Apart from the health benefits, you will have a shampoo that you will just love to use.
This gorgeous coconut milk shampoo is inexpensive, easy and fun to make. It is great for dry and damaged hair.
4 cup of coconut milk
⅓ liquid almond castile soap (like Dr. Bronner’s)
1 tsp almond oil
20 drops of lavender essential oil or an essential oil of your choice
Place all ingredients in a jar and mix well. Store the shampoo in a spray bottle.
This shampoo is more liquid than conventional shampoo but sprays on easily. Shake before use.

Tip: You can use a mild baby liquid soap (like Dr Bronner’s) instead of the almond castile soap.
